Kiloutou has acquired CTC de Maquinaria, an equipment rental firm based in Spain’s Aragon region, continuing its expansion in the Spanish market.

CTC de Maquinaria is one of the leading equipment rental firms in Spain’s Aragon region, with five branches and 50 employees. The company has a fleet of more than 1,800 machines – including loaders, diggers and small plant – and serves business customers such as self-employed trades, SMEs and national key accounts in the construction and civil engineering sector.

This new acquisition comes after Kiloutou took over Rentecnika in 2015 and Alvecon in 2016, and is part of the group’s strategy to grow its business in Spain and expand its range of services, bringing new branches and equipment options into the fold. Kiloutou will draw on the experience and expertise of CTC de Maquinaria’s teams to continue developing the business.

Xavier du Boÿs, CEO of Kiloutou, said: “This acquisition fully aligns with our international growth strategy, and particularly our ambition to consolidate our position in markets with strong potential, and the vibrant market in northern Spain in particular. It also showcases our ability to bring prominent local firms into the fold as we look to grow our business. Our ultimate aim is to continue expanding in the Spanish market through internal growth, new agency openings, and acquisitions.

Jose Manuel Ballestar, Chairman of CTC de Maquinaria, said: “I am delighted that CTC de Maquinaria will be joining Kiloutou. We are now well placed to continue expanding our business with the backing of a leading player on the European stage. I am confident that both our firms have the people and talent needed to make this merger a real success.

This move is part of the Kiloutou’s active campaign to boost development, through regular organic growth and the continuing pursuit of external growth. Internationally, it is an extension of the development strategy undertaken in Poland, Spain and Germany over the past 4 years, and in Italy in July 2017.
